St Johnstone, one of Scotland's most successful clubs, has announced the signing of former Scottish Golden Boot player, Patrick Sorensen, as their new head coach.
Sorenson, who was born in Denmark but raised in Scotland, is known for his attacking style and ability to score goals. He made over 150 appearances for St Johnstone and scored 28 goals in all competitions.
The move comes at a time when St Johnstone have struggled to find form this season and have lost their last two games. Sorenson will aim to turn things around and help the club improve their performance on the pitch.
In his first few months in charge, Sorenson will be working closely with the coaching staff to develop the team and create a plan to get them back into the top flight of English football.
He has also been praised for his commitment to developing young talent and he has already signed several promising young players, including striker James Beattie and defender Jamie McAllister.
St Johnstone fans will be hoping that Sorenson can bring some much-needed energy and leadership to the squad and help them reach the next level of success.
